Abstract: STELLA is a joint project between the Hamburger Sternwarte and the Astrophysical Institute Potsdam for an automatically operating spectroscopic telescope. The scientific goals are observation and monitoring of stellar activity. By agreement with the Astrophysical Institute of the Canarian Islands, STELLA will be installed at the Teide Observatory on the Island of Tenerife.
