Title: Solar and stellar high-resolution X-ray spectra. Plasma diagnostics with the CHIANTI atomic database.
Abstract: High-resolution solar and stellar (Chandra) X-ray spectra of different stars are presented. The plasma characteristics of the stellar coronae are derived applying various diagnostic techniques and the CHIANTI atomic database. Differences and similarities with the solar corona will be highlighted. The spectra are also used to benchmark the currently available atomic data.
